      Great question!

      The speed of light is faster. The speed of light is 299 792 458 metres per second where as the speed of sound is only 340.29 metres per second.

      You can actually see this for yourself. If you let a rocket firework off high into the sky, you will see the light from the firework before you hear the bang!
