I suppose the simplest answer is that in the end anybody has the option to study whatever they want. So as you progress through school and maybe go to college of university you can choose your subjects. So anyone, religious or not, can avoid studying the big bang. But only if they choose not to study physics, as it’s a key aspect of physics.

We have a similar issue in teaching genetics, as so much of the subject is dependent on evolution, which people of some religious persuasions do not accept as being true. Clearly I cannot force anyone to accept the evidence for evolution, but from a scientific perspective evolution is a key subject underlying genetics (and for that matter all of biology) so everyone who takes a biology or genetics course would have to study evolution too.

Just to throw an interesting fact out there, when we surveyed our biology students a couple of years ago about 10% did not believe that evolution was true.
