Too far away and not particularly hospitable to life.

We probably have the technology, and we probably have enough money, so it is something that’ll probably happen at some point in the future.

We’ve probably not done so yet because it’s much cheaper and easier to send a spacecraft without people. Of course it’s really state-of-the-art technology, so often goes wrong. This isn’t great when the unmanned spacecraft fails, but at least nobody dies.

The other issue is who would want to do it? It would need 400 days in something the size of a shed. Always with the same 3 or 4 people, recycling everything (including your own and everyone elses urine) and no chance of rescue when something goes wrong. Not my idea of fun!
