  The planets are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Up until 2006 Pluto was also deemed as a planet however looking at all it’s characteristics scientists decided that is was actually a dwarf planet instead so it got down-graded! Poor Pluto!
