• Question: How is their water on Mars when its is so close to the Sun? It would be impossible because the water would evaporate.

      I think you might be mixing up Mars and Mercury. Mars is further away from the sun than us, and is cooler, so heat won’t be a problem.

      But if you mean Mercury it’s a very good question. Mercury is much hotter, so you might expect all the water to evaporate (I would), but it doesn’t. It turns out that there are some big craters on Mercury, and deep inside them are areas that get no direct sunlight, so are permanently in shadow where it’s cool enough for liquid water to survive.
