      Definitely!

In science, the term “theory” refers to something that has been repeatedly tested through observation and experimentation and confirmed as being true.

So, in relation to my work as a scientist, I may say to you “I have a theory that listening to music that we enjoy can make us more productive while we work”. This would be wrong of me. This is not a theory, this is my hypothesis. The only way my statement could become a theory, would be if lots and lots and lots and lots of different people tested my hypothesis and agreed with me.

So, the Big Bang Theory is something that has been tested and verified over and over and over again which is why the vast majority of scientists will believe in it.

Yes – it seems to me there is enough evidence in support of it and not much that argues against it. Alternatives have been considered and been found lacking.

I think the Big Bang could definitely of happened. As a scientist I’m quite bad for wanting to see something for myself before I believe it but I think it is the most plausible theory of how the Earth started. Also, if I see a Big Bang happen then that means we could be creating another universe which could perhaps cause some issues for Earth…

      What do you think?
